All coaches are required to complete the SCA in-person evaluation as part of the coaching certification process. These exams are conducted virtually via Zoom and are scheduled in 30-minute time slots.

This is a one-on-one evaluation between the coach and an SCA Evaluator. The coach will be asked a series of scenario-based questions related to the safe and effective instruction of stunt and tumbling skills within the level being tested. For example, an All Star Level 1 exam will focus on teaching and progressing Level 1 stunts and tumbling skills.

Evaluators will assess the coach’s understanding of skill technique, safety, and appropriate progressions. Coaches will be informed of their result at the end of the session.

• Evaluation Format: Virtual via Zoom
• Time: Each exam is scheduled for a 30-minute time slot
• Cost: $25 per level
• Levels: All Star Levels 1–6 and Scholastic up to University Premier
• Evaluation is valid for 3 years

Certification Pathways:

New Coaches:

• Must evaluate by progression (e.g., Level 1 before Level 2)
• May purchase multiple exams at once
• If a coach is unsuccessful at a required lower level, a refund will be issued for any remaining higher-level exams that cannot be completed

Recertifying Coaches:

• May be evaluated at their current level or challenge the next level up
• Do not need to complete all lower-level evaluations again

Scheduling Your Evaluation:

• Coaches will register for a 3-hour block of availability
• Your exact 30-minute evaluation time will be scheduled within that block
• You will be notified by email of your scheduled time closer to the date

*** If you require multiple evaluations, please look at the remaining slots on your preferred day and register separately for each level. For example:

If you see 4 remaining spots on a particular day and you need to book 2 evaluations, please register twice for that same day. We will schedule your evaluations back-to-back.

*Reminder that your half-hour evaluation(s) will be scheduled with-in the three-hour block that you registered for. More information, your specific time and your Zoom link will be sent to you closer to the date of your evaluation(s).
